Certificate III in Hospitality

Our SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality qualification is designed to equip students with the skills and sound knowledge of industry operations for hospitality service and sales in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multiskilling and specialisation in accommodation services, food and beverage, and gaming. 
 
Upon successfully completing this nationally recognised qualification, students may be able to:

  • use discretion and judgement in the workplace 

  • work with some independence and under limited supervision

  • use plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.  

CAREER PROSPECTS

 

Successful completion of the SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality may lead to employment opportunities, including:

  • Barista

  • Catering Assistant

  • Cocktail Bartender.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The following will be required for the enrolment process: 

  • Unique Student Identifier (USI) 

  • photo identification

  • completion of the LLN assessment.

HOW DO I CREATE MY USI?

ASSESSMENT

​

We use a range of assessment methods for this qualification, including:

  • Short answers;

  • Projects;

  • Activities; and

  • Workplace Observation or Observation in a Simulated Workplace.

​

Students will be required to show that they can provide quality hospitality service to customers for a minimum of 36 complete service periods (shifts). A job that has involved the application of skills to work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

Our trainers collaborate closely with employers to support students in the workplace. Workplace assessments may be required for some units of competency.

DURATION AND MODE

​

Duration:

This qualification can be completed in twelve months. The volume of learning offered by Aurora Training & Professional Services may vary per student depending on their existing skills and knowledge. More experienced students are likely to complete the course in a shorter period of time. The duration may vary depending on Credit Transfer (CT) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Students can apply for CT or RPL at the time of enrolment.

 

Delivery:

Delivery of training may take differing forms, including Traineeships, Face-to-Face, and Online, depending on the requirements of the Client or the needs of the cohort.

NSW FEES

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.

  • Concession: $240

  • First Qualification: $1,450

  • Second Qualifications: $1,750

  • Traineeship: $0

FEE FOR SERVICE

If you are ineligible for government subsidised training, or would rather undertake this course on a fee-for-service (FFS) basis, the cost to undertake this nationally recognised qualification is $6,500.

Aurora TPS does not accept upfront payments of more than $1,500. If a student’s fee is more than this amount, the support of a flexible payment plan will be offered to students.

Deferment Fee (administration charges): $50

Replacement of Testamur/statement of attainment/Qualification Certificate: $50

Repeat of unit (Third attempt onwards Per unit): $150
